At the age of 7, Stephanie started taking private piano lessons and from there her love and passion for music has only grown. She picked up reading music fairly fast and still to this day, remains easy for her. She continued on to play the flute in Elementary and Middle school, and was first chair flute all throughout Middle school. Expanding different genres of music, she was the pianist at her church for five years, has accompanied many vocalists, and was also graded superior for piano in a statewide assessment. After graduating from high school, she advanced to teaching piano and feels that her passion for music has grown even more. “I feel like if I didn’t have music or the piano in my life there would be no way to define who I am.” Even though many years have passed, now a college student, Stephanie is still under the close guidance and private instruction of Mrs. Yoon Shin, MMA.
