Kris Copley - | Guitar | Music Theory | - Galley and Gleneagle Location

Kristian Copley was born and raised in Germany. Attending a rigorous college preparatory German school, he learned advanced music theory, taking private guitar, piano, and voice lessons in the process. While in Germany, Kris led a worship band playing acoustic guitar and was a counselor at summer camps, where he played in the camp band. Leaving Germany at the age of 19, he went to Point Loma Nazarene University (California) on a voice scholarship (classical). There he studied music, including composition, acoustic guitar and voice, also passing the piano proficiency test. Thereupon, he transferred to the Musicians Institute (MI) in Hollywood to study electric guitar performance from October 2008 - June 2009. At MI he had the privilege to study under professional guitarists such as Vadim Zilbershtein (Earth Wind and Fire, Teena Marie, Chaka Khan, Marcus Miller) Marcelo Berestovoy, Pathik Desai (Kelly Clarkson, Westlife, Anastacia), and Ross Bolton (Al Jarreau).

In addition to teaching guitar and music theory, Kris studies Business the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs to pursue a degree in International Business. In his spare time, he enjoys writing music for “The Myth of Modern Medicine” (http://www.myspace.com/themythofmodernmedicine) with whom he plays gigs in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Denver.
