Dennis Sanderson - | Drum lessons | Bass Guitar lessons | - S. Nevada and Gleneagle Location


Dennis Sanderson has eight years of drum set and hand percussion experience and is college educated, continuing as a music major at Pikes Peak Community College. You can hear him play locally in many settings such as, college jazz bands and local reggae band The KnightBeats. He has opened up for large acts including, Valerie Naranjo from (The Saturday Night Live Band), Rome (Sublime with Rome), The Dirty Heads, Remedy Drive and Passafire to name a few. He has recorded two studio albums and performed drum solos at day of percussion and guitar center drum off competition. Dennis has sat in and performed various music styles with Jake Logins (Blues), Kim Stone from Spyro Gyra (Jazz) and Brickyard Blues Band. Dennis has studied under Henrique De Almeida, Jonny Barbata ( Jefferson StarShip and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young), Bruce Anderson, Eric Kruse. He has three years of teaching experience and has helped many students exceed in school bands, on worship teams and in their own musical goals. Dennis can teach all styles and methods on instruments including; drum set, hand percussion, marimba, vibraphone and xylophone. Dennis will ensure every student can read standard drum notation and play with music.

Dennis Sanderson also has six years of electric bass experience and an eight year music background in percussion and music theory. He has performed gospel and blue grass locally with John H (Nashville) and Chad Riden. Dennis is currently a music major at Pikes Peak Community College where he studies, music theory, ear training, keyboard and jazz ensemble. Dennis will ensure that every student will be able to read bass clef, know and understand basic music theory. His students will also learn; chord progressions, scales, popping, slapping, tapping, chords and harmonics, as well as various styles such as Rock, Latin, jazz, blues and funk. Bass students will also have a chance to accompany his percussion ensemble.
